What is counselling?
Counselling is a safe and confidential space for you to explore your life's challenges.
Sessions are mainly in a talk therapy style of empathic listening, but we can also use creative methods such as drawing and projective work, as well as somatic (body) awareness and mindfulness if you choose.

Individual sessions last for 50 minutes and are usually weekly, they can be long or short term. I see people in person when possible, if not, I am happy to work online or by telephone.

We can look at your life together, as well as looking at the here and now of the therapeutic relationship. It is through this collaboration that I believe the possibility for change and acceptance can occur.

I work in person from Ty Cemaes (SY20 9PR) near Machynlleth on a Monday and a Friday and I have some online sessions available on other days.

Why come to counselling?
People come to counselling for all sorts of reasons. It can support you to understand and make sense of your world. Perhaps you are coping with a difficult event or feel you are not coping at all. You may want to explore past experiences or focus on new tools to live in a more engaged way. I can assist you in this process.
My sessions are client led, informed by the belief that you are the expert on your experience.
I have experience in working with grief, loss, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, bullying, stress, addiction, trauma and relationships issues.
